When's the last time you left a happy hour actually...happy? 🍸 We’ve both spent years inside institutions and companies as operators, coaches, and facilitators, and we kept seeing the same thing: People are disconnected, disengaged, and depleted. The usual solutions keep missing something - permission to leave work at the door and engage in real, roving, participatory play. So we wanted to do something about that. Not Your Average Happy Hour is a 90-minute facilitated experience built around play, creativity, and real connection. It’s a reimagining of what a happy hour could be - connected, engaging, and actually fun. 🍹 There will be drinks - but not in the way you’re expecting. 🫱🏽🫲🏾 There will be connecting - but not in a stiff, networking way. 👩🏻🏫 There will be learning - but not your usual stuffy panel. We’ve been working on this together for six months! This is its first preview - and we're excited to give you a live look at what we’re building to bring to workplaces, conferences, and offsites. You’re invited because you’re someone whose opinion we genuinely respect as a culture shaper, a community builder, a fellow human who is invested in connection and growth. You’re who we want in the room first. Light bites and bevs included! The evening: Doors open 6:00, arrive, grab a drink, mingle DOORS CLOSE at 6:30 - first come first serve! At 6:30 your 90-minute experience begins We'll end the experience at 8 PM - you're welcome to stay around and hang with us! A few things to know about how this works: We've approved a wider guest list to account for the beautiful chaos of NYC life — but physical space is capped at 50. The first 50 people through the door get in, full stop. Whether you RSVPd yes or you're on the waitlist, showing up early is how you secure your spot. Think of it like a Broadway show — doors close at 6:30 and the curtain goes up. ✨ We're offering this event on a by donation basis - because we are so stoked to have your presence and opinion.
