🎶 Open Soundcheck: NYO Jazz w/ Dee Dee Bridgewater (& Late Lunch) -- SFJazz 🔆 In celebration of their West Coast debut, the acclaimed Carnegie Hall National Youth Orchestra (NYO) jazz ensemble welcomes Bay Area young musicians and families to an interactive Open Soundcheck followed by Q&A. Led by trumpeter Kris Johnson and featuring multi-Grammy vocalist and NEA Jazz Master Dee Dee Bridgewater, this year’s big band brings together the top young jazz players from around the USA and kicks off their tour of Asia with a one-time-only performance at the SFJAZZ Center. SFJAZZ Open Soundchecks are exclusive, behind-the-scenes, and often free experiences where the public watches artists prepare for evening concerts at the Miner Auditorium.
