Invitation to exchange views on innovations and future prospects

Hi everyone, This event is prepared to be in English language as alternative to the German language version one day before (alternative meetup-event in German language). Please feel free to decide which language version you prefer by attending to the related event. Thank you so much for the great interest for this group! I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to an in-person meeting on August 8, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at Café Miki (Bürgerplatz 12, 85748 Garching; a 3-minute walk from the Garching U6 station). The goal is to exchange initial thoughts, ideas, and perspectives on various topics within a small group setting. The meeting would begin with a brief introduction to key questions, followed by a group discussion. While we will cover the subject matter, the focus will also be on getting to know one another—creating a relaxed atmosphere where diverse experiences, perspectives, and ideas can come together. One potential topic is future long-term solutions for crewed space missions and their potential application in terrestrial crisis and emergency habitats, as well as the scientific and technological steps required to achieve this. However, I am equally open to discussing other related issues, current research approaches, and exciting developments. I look forward to hearing everyone's perspectives and new ideas. To ensure a good flow of conversation, I would like to limit the group size to a maximum of ten people. If desired, we can organize a follow-up session if not everyone is able to attend the first one.
