Summer Streets/Manhattan Aug 15 🚸: Brooklyn Bridge to Inwood
Summer Streets are BACK! Join us for one of our favorite annual walks as we make our way along car-free Broadway and Park Avenue, continuing north through Manhattan all the way to Inwood. On the Third Saturday in August, New York City’s usual traffic noise and honking horns give way to walkers, runners, cyclists, performers, fitness classes, art installations, giveaways, and plenty of street activity. It is a wonderful way to experience the city from a completely different perspective. We will walk approximately 12 miles from the Brooklyn Bridge to Dyckman Street in Inwood. The walk will take about 6 hours and will be point-to-point at a faster pace. You do not have to walk the entire route. Join us for a few miles or stay for the full walk. There will be many opportunities to leave along the way, with easy access to public transportation.
