
Ansel Adams and Max Dupain exhibition Sunset Photography in Brighton

Max Dupain (Australia, 1911-1992) and Ansel Adams (USA, 1902-1984) both well known modernist photographers working on opposite sides of the Pacific shared a profound commitment to formal clarity, tonal precision, and the expressive potential of light. This exhibit brings works from both photographers together along with some works from their peers. Entry into the exhibit is free. https://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/dupainandadams Draft Schedule 1.45pm - We will start at the exhibit, meeting outside at for a briefing. Spend some time here to take in the differences and similarities of the images. 4.00pm - Then we will head to Brighton Beach for a coffee break (Dendy Beach Pavilion – located near the beach boxes). 5.00pm - Take the opportunity to photograph around the Brighton Beach boxes - consider long exposure and seascape photography. 5.55pm - Sunset photography 6.30pm - Join us for dinner (if you like) at Dendy Deli.
