
FREE Afternoon Walk – Bushy Park & Thames Riverside Circular from Kingston
A scenic Sunday walk through one of London’s most beautiful open landscapes — Bushy Park — followed by a peaceful riverside walk along the Thames Path. Expect wide open views, ancient woodland, historic parkland, and a chance to spot herds of free-roaming deer. This is a lovely route — open skies, beautiful trail, and a walk to stretch the legs and clear the mind. 📍 Meeting Point Kingston Railway Station (KT1 1UJ) We’ll meet just outside the main exit. Meeting Time: 15:45 PM We will leave at 16:00 PM sharp. Trains run frequently from Waterloo via Clapham Junction. Car Park - At Canbury Place Car Park or the Cattle Market Car Park. 🌿 Route Highlights Wide-open grasslands & old oak avenues in Bushy Park Chance to see fallow and red deer roaming freely Tree-lined water canals and woodland glades Riverside walking beside the Thames Views of Hampton Court Palace area from the riverside Flat, easy paths — very beginner-friendly Total distance: ~ 12 to 15 kms max Difficulty: Easy to Moderate (flat & steady, suitable for most fitness levels) Pace: Purposeful and steady — We walk, talk, and enjoy with lots of stops. 🎒 What to Bring Comfortable shoes 2L water Cap/Hat and Sunscreen A good spirit — always required 😄 ⚠️ Group Notes Please stay with or behind the walk leader to keep the group together. No one gets left behind — I give catch-up breaks where needed. This is a free, voluntary group — you are responsible for your own safety. Be respectful to wildlife (especially the deer — no approaching to avoid incidents).
