TO LOVE IS FOR THE BRAVE (Edward M. and Judi Calmán)
How to overcome the fear that prevents us from living fully We are not going to talk about love. We are going to train it. What force really drives our decisions: fear or love? Throughout life, we learn to protect ourselves from rejection, failure, loss, and disappointment. Without realizing it, these defense mechanisms can end up distancing us from what we need most: connecting with ourselves and with others. In this participatory experience, we will discover how fear shapes the way we think, feel, and act, and we will explore love not as a romantic sentiment, but as a courageous attitude toward life. Through a combination of psychology, philosophy, and practical dynamics, we will experience a morning of reflection, participation, and personal discovery in a warm, respectful, and enriching environment. During the gathering, we will address questions such as: What fears rule our lives without us even being aware of them? Why does loving require more courage than protecting oneself? How can we learn to relate better to ourselves and to those around us? What small step can we take today to live with greater authenticity? The session will be led by Edward Martin, who will offer the conceptual framework and reflection, and Judi Calman, who will facilitate a series of dynamics and experiential exercises to transform ideas into experiences. This is not your average lecture. It is an experience to think, feel, share, and train one of the most important skills in life. Because perhaps the greatest risk is not loving too much. Perhaps the greatest risk is reaching the end of the road with the feeling of not having loved enough... or of not having loved well enough.
