August German Meetup
Usual event. Informal chat in German over drinks. A lot of our members don't get regular opportunities to speak German. So anyone attending our events should please be ready to hold a conversation in German. If you can’t find us, please ask at the bar. I pay a fee to the meetup website to use this site for 6 months. It is paid in September and March. In March 2026, I paid £166.16 including fees. So I ask for £3 from each person when they attend a meetup event. I need to recover the majority of this fee. I had previously added PayPal to the meetup site, but have decided to remove it just now to allow anyone (including those who don’t use PayPal) to RSVP. You don’t have to RSVP in advance. But doing so gives us a better idea of how many people are likely to be there on the night. I will add the PayPal address in the comment section of this event so that there is a payment method for those who don’t carry cash. Regarding the end time, you are welcome to stay as long as you want. I have put 9pm purely because I don’t want a situation where someone turns up later than that to find nobody there.
