Discussion - Evil in Spirituality and the Occult

Tue 25 Aug · 4:45pm · The Crowned Eagle

I am happy to introduce our next topic of discussion - Evil in the Occult and Spirituality. A warm and vibrant community will welcome you to the event and I hope you can attend! This session will take place on August 25 at 18:45 - 20:45 at the Crowned Eagle Pub. Introduction to the topic - What is evil? The word "evil" conjures a lot of different thoughts and feelings within us. Usually we think of evil as something malefic, harmful, and adversarial towards us and what we consider "good". But real life has a way of showing us that "good" and "evil" are not always as simple as we think - both contain nuances and are subjective. In particular, "evil" is a term thrown around a lot and what we describe as "evil" is often much more misunderstood and obscure than what we initially think. This is especially true in spirituality and the occult. What is "evil" in a spiritual and moral sense is often given to us by religious and social authorities. Figures such as "lucifer", "satan", "demons", and so much more are said to be "evil", but are they? Practices such as tantra, magick, and even yoga have been described as "wicked", but are they? Looking into the history, true meanings, and experiences behind these terms always tells a different more complex story than a simple label as "evil". In this session, we will explore such questions and come to a better understanding of how misunderstood "evil" is within spirituality and the occult. Practices and figures in spirituality, traditionally called "evil", will be seen in a new light. So please join us in this session and I hope we will all be "enlightened". Our agenda for this event is as follows: 1. Introductions (10-15 minutes) 2. Intro to to the topic (10-15 minutes) 3. Detailed discussion on the topic (70-80 minutes) 4. Closing and goodbyes (10-15 minutes) For those who wish to stay for after discussion drinks, they are more than welcome! I am looking forward to welcoming you all there. As usual, if there are any questions, please contact me by WhatsApp at +41798309119. Please note the guest limit for this is a maximum of 13 people due to seating limitations at the venue. I will not be able to accept more people after this.
