The theme for our August 22nd Meetup lunch is Crispy Noodles and weāll be featuring two different types of crispy noodle dishes from Malaysia and Singapore, done two ways and a comforting dessert to complete the meal. Chao Tar Bee Hoon Literally, Chao Tar Bee Hoon means āburnt rice vermicelliā but this dish is tastier than it sounds. Noodles stir-fried with prawns, pork slices, fish cake, green vegetables. and egg, then pressed in the wok until the outside is crispy but still moist on the inside. Sang Har Meen Sang Har Meen is an iconic Malaysian Chinese dish featuring crispy egg noodles topped with freshwater prawns in a rich, velvety and savory gravy made by extracting the flavorful juices from prawn heads, then thickened with egg and starch so it gently clings to the noodles. Daan Tat / HK-style Egg Tart Daan Tat, the traditional HK-style light, flaky, buttery and fragrant pastry that compliments a deliciously soft and wobbly egg custard. The price per pax is ąøæ350.
