🖊 Description: Come join us as we explore upper Magnolia and the lower Ballard area. We will discover some lovely Seattle city parks, Magnolia Manor Park and Lawton Park before we go through the Kiwanis Memorial Park Preserve Park, which, by the way, was Seattle's first wildlife sanctuary and once the largest nesting colony of Great Blue Herons. Leaving the preserve, we will explore the fish ladders at the Chittenden locks. There should be some good fish viewing as the salmon run is in full swing. Departing the locks we will enjoy the Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Garden. Afterwards, we will visit a few of the many wonderful free exchanges in Ballard.
