[In-Person] D&D 5e Open game for Beginners in Cap Hill

Wed 12 Aug · 1am · The Tilted Table (fomerly Raygun Lounge)

IMPORTANT: Please read the Table and RSVP rules at the end of this description. Curious about Dungeons & Dragons but not sure where to start? This in-person, beginner-friendly game is for all genders who want a relaxed, welcoming introduction to D&D 5e (specifically 2014 edition) —no experience required. We’ll be playing a short, guided level 2 adventure focused on collaboration, creativity, and fun. Rules will be explained as we go, pre-generated (level 2) characters will be available, and there’s no pressure to perform or “get it right.” If you have your own level 2 character, feel free to bring them as long as they use the 2014 Player’s Handbook only (no optional features or additional sourcebooks) and start with a standard array. All materials provided; however, you are encouraged to bring your own dice sets, minis, pens/pencils, paper, etc. if you have any. I prioritize new and newer players. If you’ve been attending for over a year or regularly play in other weekly public 5e games, you may be moved to make room for newcomers. This event is FREE, but we ask that you please support our host, the Titled Table (formerly Raygun Lounge). We're here at their generosity, so be sure to buy some beer, food, snacks, or drinks to support our hosts and make it worth their time. Table Rules & Safety This table is intentionally run as a respectful, inclusive safe space. I use simple safety tools and table rules to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Player comfort and enjoyment come first. If you conduct yourself in a manner that makes the DM or your fellow players upset, uncomfortable, or unsafe, you will be asked to leave. Depending on the severity of the misbehavior(s), you may be banned from my tables and/or the Meetup group. Caution: A few adventures may have some horror elements in them RSVP Rules RSVPs open up 2 weeks in advance RSVPs close 1 day before the event Please keep your RSVP up to date. If you're on the Wait List and make other plans, be sure to change your RSVP. I will message you to confirm that you're attending (about 2 days in advance). If you don't reply to that message in a timely manner, you may be removed from the event. If you RSVP and intend to attend, but you're coming in at most 15 min late (eg. due to traffic), please message me as soon as possible, and I'll try to save your spot. Feel free to ask any questions you have!
