Docklands Riverside Pub and Karaoke

7.00 - Captain Kidd, 108 Wapping High Street, E1W 2NE 9.00 - Turner's Old Star, 14 Watts Street, E1W 2QG The Captain Kidd, 108 Wapping High Street, E1W 2NE, is a Sam Smith's pub named after a notorious 17th Century pirate who got his comeuppance at nearby Execution Dock. It's right on the riverside, with some of the best river views of any pub in London from the beer garden, so that's where we'll be if the weather's fine. The nearest station is Wapping on the London Overground - the exit is at the front of the train heading southbound but nearer the back of the train heading northbound. Unless you're very physically fit (or hoping to get that way), I would take the lift rather than the stairs. Turn left when you leave the station and you'll find the pub about 200 yards along Wapping High Street. For those travelling from Central London, the most obvious connections are at Whitechapel (District, Hammersmith & City and Elizabeth lines) or Canada Water (Jubilee Line). As the travelling will be a bit more challenging than normal for some of us, I have put up slightly earlier starting and finishing times so there's a little more leeway to get home at the end of the night. The plan is to move on to Turner's Old Star, 14 Watts Street, E1W 2QG at around 8.45/9.00 where, all being well, there'll be Karaoke for those who enjoy it.
