Sydney Culture Walk – Modern Sydney Architecture
🚶♂️ Sydney Culture Walk – Modern Sydney Architecture Hosted by Craig Join us for another fascinating Sydney Culture Walk as we explore the architecture, ambition and transformation of post-war Sydney. This walk takes us from Martin Place to Circular Quay, uncovering Sydney’s “Mad Men” era of the 1950s, 60s and 70s — a period of rapid growth when skyscrapers began reshaping the skyline, public art flourished, and bold new ideas transformed the city. We’ll discover hidden architectural gems, iconic buildings, public artworks and stories of a Sydney evolving into the vibrant global city we know today. 📅 Sunday 16 August 2026 ⏰ 2:30pm 📍 Meet outside the GPO, 1 Martin Place 🚶 Easy-paced walk (approximately 1–2 hours) 🍻 We’ll finish with a drink or two afterwards for those who’d like to stay and socialise. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, photography or simply enjoy discovering a different side of Sydney, this promises to be a relaxed afternoon of culture, conversation and connection. New members are always welcome.
