Small Talk Workshop
Small Talk, Big Moves: Build Confidence & Connect with Ease Starting conversations shouldn't feel awkward. Whether you're networking, meeting new coworkers, attending social events, or just want to feel more comfortable talking to new people, this interactive workshop will give you practical skills you can use immediately. Join Rhino Toastmasters and professional speaking coach Michael Shehane for a fun, hands-on workshop designed to help you become more confident in everyday conversations. You'll learn how to: ✅ Start conversations naturally (without overthinking) ✅ Keep conversations flowing instead of feeling like an interview ✅ Turn small talk into meaningful connection ✅ Exit conversations gracefully and build lasting relationships This isn't a lecture. You'll spend most of the evening practicing through guided activities and partner exercises, so you'll leave having actually used these techniques. Then put your skills into practice! After the workshop, everyone is invited to join us for an optional happy hour at Natoma Cabana, just a short walk away. It's a relaxed, low-pressure opportunity to try out what you've learned while meeting new people.
