do you have a random interest/topic/question you’re curious to explore, but never seem to have the time for? too often, life’s to-do lists get in the way of simply following what sparks our interest. this is a cozy, no-work-allowed meetup to indulge these curiosities, by 'going down rabbitholes', as they say! join us for an afternoon of quiet exploration and good company ^.^ ⚙️ how it works 1. ✨ bring a curiosity & something to take notes with show up with a topic, question, book, podcast, or idea you’ve been wanting to dig into! also, bring your notetaking device of choice to document what you learn. some rabbitholes from past sessions: origins of new wave music, postmodern existentialism, dark design patterns, trash classification in japan, the link between scarcity and gratitude. 2. 🕳️ dive in we’ll spend a chunk of quiet, focused time individually following our own threads of curiosity. you might research online, read, watch videos, listen to something. getting distracted and going offtopic is okay! 3. 💬 share your discoveries at the end, we’ll regroup and swap stories about where our curiosities took us. ⛔️ the only rules 1. don’t come to do work (we work enough already) 2. don’t bring topics with an ulterior agenda. this event is about exploring questions, not convincing others about things. we wanna keep this wholesome! if you’re unsure about your topic, check with us before. 🔎 details when: sunday aug 9, 1-4pm (feel free to come earlier to have lunch at Communita Cafe) cost: the event is free, but purchasing 1 item at Communita Cafe is required to support the venue. language: english photo consent: by joining, you consent to being photographed and/or filmed, which may be used on social media. if you want to opt out, please let an organizer know on the day. 🌱 about the venue – Impact HUB Tokyo Impact HUB Tokyo is part of the Impact HUB Global network, a global community of entrepreneurs seeking to create social impact. Since opening in 2013, they have provided a community co-working space for a diverse range of entrepreneurship, working styles, industries and cultures, bringing together many entrepreneurs and start-ups, freelancers, artists, intrapreneurs and NPO leaders from Japan and abroad, and continues to generate collaboration between its members. From 2022, it became an incubation center accredited by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and offers entrepreneurial programs.
