Glasgow Sourdough Starter Swap & Bake
Welcome to our Sourdough Starter Sharing & Bake event! Whether you're a seasoned sourdough baker or just starting your fermentation journey, this gathering is for you. We warmly welcome all levels and ages—come share your starter, learn from others, and enjoy the community of bread lovers. We'll start with a casual meet-and-greet over coffee and snacks. Then, we'll share our starters (bring a portion of your active starter to swap or just bring yourself!), discuss tips for feeding and maintaining starters, and even do a mini bake-off if you'd like to show off your latest loaf. Expect light prompts to break the ice, plenty of time to chat, and a chance to connect with fellow sourdough enthusiasts. Cost: Completely Free! Refreshments: Complimentary snacks and drinks will be provided, including coffee, tea, and light pastries. What to bring: Just yourself and, if you have one, a small jar of your active sourdough starter to share or swap (optional). Spaces are limited, so please RSVP to secure your spot.
