How to find us: We usually have a table on the ground floor, either outdoor, or in the covered patio area of Central Market next to the cafe. Best way is to look for tables with the Austin Language Mixer sign stylized same as our photo cover. Welcome Austinites and visitors! We are a local FREE weekly social mixer to practice languages in Austin. Come join us and converse in any languages in a fun, relaxed setting. We will meet every week to chat, make friends, and enjoy a great time together. We are a friendly bunch, and at the same time we encourage you to learn some basics on your own to make the most of our language group. We recommend you picking up some vocabulary or conversational basic (for example, check out Italki for one-on-one tutoring) I want to learn a language, where should I start for free? If you have an Austin library card (or Pflugerville or Round Rock), whether physical or digital, you might have free access to Mango Languages. Learn the words, grammar structure there for free, and then practice listening and speaking with people at our group.
