Free Concert: From the Firebird to Boléro

Free public concert, no booking required! When the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra comes to Gustav Adolfs Torg, an evening of music awaits, spanning different eras and worlds. The programme ranges from Gershwin’s Summertime and Piazzolla’s Buenos Aires to Hugo Alfvén’s The Herdmaiden’s Dance. The evening continues with Stravinsky’s The Firebird and concludes with Ravel’s Boléro, as the music gradually builds to a powerful crescendo. The concert also marks Andrés Orozco-Estrada’s first appearance as Chief Conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Trumpeter Ellinor Bengtson performs as soloist.
