Join us for a sapphic book club with a potluck included at Lisa‘s house. We will discuss “Cantoras” by Carolina De Robertis Cantoras is a historical novel by Carolina de Robertis about five queer women (or cantoras, Uruguayan slang for "women who sing" or lesbians) surviving a brutal military dictatorship in 1970s Uruguay. By pooling their money, they claim a remote beach shack as a sanctuary where they can love and live authentically. This event will be hosted by Lisa M. at her house in Medina near Baker Park & Lake Independence We will have a potluck! Bring a dish to share. Parking: on the street at Lisa‘s home. Carpooling is encouraged. The address will be announced in the comments closer to the event and will only be visible to people who are signed up. This event is limited to 15 attendees. If the event is full, sign up on the waiting list. There are often times cancellations at the last minute that allow the attendance for the next members on the waiting list. September’s read is „Pageboy: A Memoir“ by Elliot Page, usual place, date tbd. All our meetups have a minimum of 5 in order to run. Please change your RSVP if you are not able to make it for any reason.
