Muir Beach - Middle Green Gulch Loop. 4.4 mi, 900 ft

Hi Ladies, join us for a classic Headlands hike with great ocean views! This is a moderately challenging 4.4 mile, 900 ft elevation gain, 2-2.5 hour hike. NOTE: this hike begins with a fairly steep 1.75 mile sustained uphill climb on the Coastal Trail, which rewards us with sweeping views of Muir Beach and the coast. Our route then loops around to the Middle Green Gulch Trail, winding us back down through the expansive gardens of the Green Gulch Zen Center. We tend to walk at a reasonably brisk pace, best for individuals with a moderate fitness level. The hike is out in the open, on mostly wide dirt trails with some uneven terrain. Poles advised, if you use them, and sturdy hiking footwear. Bring sun protection and plenty of water. Meeting place: Muir Beach Parking Lot. 100 Pacific Way, Muir Beach, CA. No parking pass required. Time: 9:30 am. In respect for everyone's time we have a 5 minute wait policy. We will do introductions and begin the hike promptly at 9:35 am. Please allow ample time to park and get your gear together. Restroom facilities: Yes, at the parking lot. Dogs: Not allowed on this Headlands hike.
