International Women’s Book Club – Our First Gathering: The Correspondent

Welcome! We are starting a new book club in Amstelveen for women who love reading, enjoy good conversation, and want to meet others who do too. This is a space where stories bring people together and friendships can grow. For our first meeting, we will be discussing The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. We will explore the themes, characters, and ideas that stayed with us, bringing perspectives and experiences from different backgrounds and cultures. You are welcome to read the book in whichever language you prefer. Our discussions will be in English, but the focus is on sharing ideas and enjoying the story together, not on reading from a particular translation. No literary expertise required. This first book was chosen by the organiser. From here, we choose together - members are invited to vote on options and to nominate books for future meetings. We look forward to meeting you.
