SOUTH QUEENSFERRY TO NORTH QUEENSFERRY VIA THE FORTH ROAD BRIDGE

Mary invites you on this Thursday jaunt from South Queensferry across the Firth of Forth via the old Forth Road Bridge to North Queensferry and back again. Meet outside the Scotmid Coop South Queensferry...toilets available here. We will pass the police station / library and continue to walk along to under the bridge where there is a concrete path up on to the bridge. We will walk across the bridge (1.5 miles) and then down into North Queensferry. We will have lunch beside the harbour and then walk back over the bridge to where we started. The walk will finish back in South Queensferry where there are plenty of cafes and pubs for a reshment / icecream / food. GETTING TO 'SOUTH QUEENSFERRY: Take 11;00 No 43 BUS to THE LOAN bus stop and then there is a 2 minute walk to the Coop EXTRAS... Attire: Dress to suit the weather and wear comfy walking shoes/boots Break: There'll be a snack break beside the harbour at North Queensferry Dogs: Welcome Distance: 3+ miles
