Gays Can Read in August: PALAVER
Book club for LGBT+ 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ English-speaking 🇬🇧 transplants in Barcelona 🇪🇸. We’ll read a book 📕, meet at a cafe ☕️ in L’Eixample to discuss 💬, then share in our experiences as friends of Dorothy 💅 in a new land 💃🏻. Everyone in the rainbow alphabet is welcome! In August we’re reading: PALAVER, by Bryan Washington 📖 In his third novel, Washington explores family estrangement, queer identity, and imperfect communication. Sound familiar, homos? A mother and son awkwardly reunite in Tokyo after 12-years! The story is told non-linearly, so it might be a Chris Nolan movie someday. Pick up a copy at your favorite local Queer and/or English-language bookstore!
