Southeast Asia Youth Energy Forum (SAYEF) 2026

SAYEF 2026, the Southeast Asia Youth Energy Forum, is set for 2 and 3 October 2026 in Manila, Philippines, during the Philippines' 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship. Youth for Energy Southeast Asia (Y4E-SEA) organises it under the theme "Youth for Energy Security and Catalyst for Accessibility in Southeast Asia". To be eligible, you need to be a Southeast Asian national aged 18 to 35, hold a valid passport and be able to get to Manila for both days. Every delegate takes part in a single track. In the HELIX Energy Council, participants negotiate energy policy while representing government, industry, academia or civil society. The IRENA NewGen Hackathon involves 10 chosen teams, each with three to five members, developing answers to the region's energy challenges. Places come as fully funded, partly funded or self-funded, plus a Day Pass. The funding support a delegate gets depends on their residency and registration type.
