🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @durresbiennale announces the official theme of curator @massimo.scaringella for the Second Edition of the International Biennale of Contemporary Art of Durrës: “Periphery: Visual Transitions”. This theme will bring to Durrës, from 1 to 31 October 2026, contemporary artists from different countries, who, through its interpretation, will present their peripheral and anthropological realities in the exhibition spaces of the respective national pavilions. The periphery represents a true laboratory for the contemporary creative artist. From this perspective, it appears as the source of a series of social phenomena that, as part of a living anthropological organism, are transformed into a kind of “black hole”, where backward customs, traditions and practices find their most suitable terrain to be preserved and reproduced.
