A GEC Sustainability Cluster session at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, hosted with Techies Go Green, on where a product's carbon footprint actually comes from.

Earlier cluster sessions covered national and sector emissions; this one goes down to the product. It covers the common building blocks of a product carbon footprint, how the Greenhouse Gas Protocol frames the measurement, and worked examples from cut flowers, bottled water and spirits, fast fashion and transport, including where intuition gets it wrong. The last section is on using footprint data commercially, for sourcing and packaging decisions and for answering customer questions before they are asked. Q&A, tea and coffee after. 10:00.

Why go: specific and numerate where most sustainability sessions are neither. Best for founders, ops and sustainability leads at any business that makes, imports or sells a physical product.
