Typelevel Open Source Hack

A daytime open-source hack run by the London Scala User Group at SiriusXM, working on Typelevel projects — the functional-programming ecosystem around Cats, Cats Effect, fs2 and friends.

The format is collaborative contribution rather than talks: people pick up issues, pair on them and get changes in. The organisers explicitly say novice Scala developers are welcome and answer that question directly in the event FAQ.

Why go: contributing to a library you already depend on, with its maintainers and users in the room, is the fastest way to understand it, and the open door for beginners makes this a low-risk first open-source contribution. Best for Scala developers at any level and anyone curious about functional programming in practice.
