techBREK Quantum Series — Event 2: Quantum Skills Development
Downloads an .ics file · Times are in Europe/Dublin · Google Calendar
Second in Quantum Ireland's techBREK quantum series, run with Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet: a breakfast session on the skills pipeline behind Irish quantum research, and the courses now open to people who want into the field.
The final agenda has three presentations. Dr Anila Mjeda on a quantum information security module available from MTU. Dr Felix Binder on Trinity College Dublin's M.Sc. in Quantum Science and Technology, open to both students and working professionals, and on the newly formed European Quantum Academy. Dr Venkatesh Kannan on quantum learning pathways built through Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet with ICHEC and the University of Galway, at both business and technical level.
8.30am to 10am at the Trinity Innovation Hub, 4 Grand Canal Quay, Eircode D02 HR22. Free. The organiser asks attendees to navigate by the Eircode, and to release a ticket if they cannot come - the event is running a waiting list.
Why go: this is the main room in Ireland where the quantum research side and the hiring side are in the same place, and the agenda is now squarely about routes in. Best if quantum skills, recruitment or retraining are your problem.
