LJC Winter Unconference 2026

The London Java Community's twenty-first unconference, hosted by IBM at 20 York Road on the South Bank. An opening keynote, then an agenda the room builds itself: attendees propose, run and evaluate the breakout sessions, across the JVM, language features and platform engineering. 09:00 to 17:00, GBP 35, with breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea included.

Organised by RecWorks on behalf of the LJC, with Hazelcast, Redis, Capital One, Payara and RecWorks sponsoring. The keynote speaker is not named on the listing. The absence of a speaker-audience divide is the format, not an omission: if you want a session on something, you run it.

Why go: twenty-one editions in, this is the most durable Java gathering in the city, and the unconference format means the day covers what people are actually fighting with rather than what a programme committee picked months ago. Best for Java and JVM engineers and platform teams.
