Qubes OS Summit 2026

Three days with the people who build Qubes OS, the security-by-compartmentalisation operating system that runs each task in its own isolated virtual machine.

The summit mixes development talks, workshops and hacking time at Refugio Berlin in Neukölln. It is the project's main annual gathering, and the room is mostly contributors, packagers and downstream users rather than a vendor audience. A detailed schedule follows once the speaker lineup is fixed.

Friday 09:30 through Sunday 15:00. On-site attendance needs a paid Pretix ticket; a virtual ticket and livestream are free.

Why go: one of the few places where an unusual security architecture is discussed in public, at length, by the people maintaining it. Best for security engineers and privacy researchers.
