Join us for an extraordinary evening with the actors and production team behind the six-time, award-nominated film Doubles, where diversity meets imagination, identity meets history and rarely heard Indo-Caribbean voices come together to celebrate the power of storytelling.

The Canadian drama film, Doubles, set in both Trinidad and Toronto, explores the relationship between a son and his estranged father. When tragedy strikes, Dhani, a Doubles stand operator dreaming of owning his own restaurant, must leave Trinidad to find his father, whom he hasn't seen in years. Their reunion brings deeply held feelings to the surface as unexpected revelations change their lives forever.

Presented by the Canadian Caribbean Indian Cultural Collective (CCICC), this panel will feature:

Mark Sirju, Producer

Errol Sitahal, Actor portraying Ragbir

Premika Leo, Actor portraying Skye

Kenneth Mohabir, comedian, actor, and producer, will moderate the discussion.

Enjoy a discussion about the importance of Indo-Caribbean representation, behind-the-scenes stories about the film, and watch selected scenes from the film. An audience Q&A will follow the panel presentation.

Free program. Please register. Doors open at 1:45 pm. At 2:00 pm, seating becomes first-come, first-served until capacity is reached.

Organization Info:

The Canadian Caribbean Indian Cultural Collective (CCICC) is a community organization representing Indians (currently referred to as South Asians) of various ethnicities, regions, and faiths, who are the descendants of the indentured labourers taken by the British to their colonies in the Caribbean and around the world. Their mission is to share their stories of struggle, resilience and contributions across the Caribbean and here in Canada.
