Let’s let the weight we hold for grief rest a while & have a grief rest stop; learn how to metabolize your grief with the support of reiki Meet with Adrianna, aka Lady Death Doula, a death doula and grief educator, and James Johnson, a reiki practitioner, both who want to share resources and tools for you to metabolize your grief and help find ways to shed some of the heaviness that comes with grief. 4 spots for each event $55 Sept 20th October 18th 2 spots left! What to bring: -BYOB (bring your own blanket) -comfy clothing to rest in -shoes off, so slippers or socks -a photo or memory item to share about your decedent The Vibe: -Electric fireplace and lit by candlelight for extra coziness -Gentle restorative meditation and movements with reiki -Blanket forts of pillows and blankets -Hot cup of chocolate or tea (for grounding) What to expect: Learn about metabolizing your grief through sound, movement, storytelling, and community. Take home a new tool with Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT). Experience the support of Reiki; Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique where practitioners place hands lightly on or just above the body to promote deep relaxation, lowering heart rate, and reducing anxiety. 1st hour: build a blanket fort with your fellow grievers and go through the storytelling of your loss; share where you are at in your grief journey and what/who/where you are grieving. And an introduction into EFT as a grief support tool to ground into the space and the meditation. 2nd hour: 40 minute guided meditation on releasing grief led by Adrianna; as James, our reiki practitioner moves to support participants individually while people relax and release sounds or movement they feel will help their grief release. Last 20 minutes: debrief as much or as little as you like about your experience, and comfort yourself with tea or hot chocolate.
