Freshly Squeezed Comedy is bringing Canada's best comedians to Comedy Bar Bloor

Toronto has a new monthly comedy night worth putting on your calendar. Freshly Squeezed Comedy runs the third Sunday of every month at Comedy Bar Bloor, hosted by Toronto comedian Jwalit Bharwani, and every show brings a fresh lineup of some of the sharpest names in Canadian comedy. This month, on Sunday, September 20th, Jwalit is joined by Nick Reynoldson, Monica Gross, and Ashwyn Singh for a night that is shaping up to be one of the best yet. Nick Reynoldson is an award winning comedian from Scarborough who has performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs Montreal, and Carolines on Broadway. He was named one of the Comics To Watch at the 2024 New York Comedy Festival, is a COCA Comedian of the Year, and has appeared on Kevin Hart's LOL Network, CTV Comedy Channel, and CBC. Monica Gross is a comedian and content creator whose stand-up and viral sketches have earned millions of views. She has performed at Just For Laughs Toronto, been featured on CBC Radio's Laugh Out Loud, and shared the stage with Rachel Feinstein, Judy Gold, and Jim Jefferies. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, and Narcity. Ashwyn Singh is a stand-up comedian, musician, and writer known for blending incisive humour with heartfelt social commentary. An Indian immigrant turned Canadian resident, he draws on his own experiences to explore themes of cultural identity, belonging, and family with warmth, wit, and authenticity. His viral Desi Translations series has amassed over 50 million views, and his stand-up takes on topics including immigration, spirituality, civic life, mental health, and global conflict, exposing the contradictions of human behaviour while finding laughter in unexpected places. Featured on Canada's Got Talent, CBC's The Debaters, and major comedy festivals like Winnipeg and Halifax, Ashwyn has opened for acclaimed acts such as Mark Normand, Sammy Obeid, and Zarna Garg. Jwalit himself is a Just For Laughs Comedy Festival performer and a regular at every major comedy club in Toronto, known for bringing his sharp cultural perspective and infectious energy to the stage as both host and headliner.
