Motanka Dolls Workshop with Lucy Ireland Discover the tradition of the Ukrainian motanka in this hands-on workshop. Learn about the meaning behind these handmade textile dolls, and create your own using simple wrapping and tying techniques. $75/participant • Ages 12+ • All supplies included Instruction in English Instructor Lucy Ireland is a retired elementary school teacher from the Durham District School Board, where she specialized in teaching art and vocal/instrumental music for the last 10 years of her career. She served as the choir director at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Oshawa for 15 years.
