Banyan Tree’s MILAN – Maestros in Harmony, a fusion concert featuring Rahul Shivkumar Sharma ( Santoor) & Band with Asin Khan & Group (Langa Musicians of Rajasthan)

Milan is a musical celebration of never-before-heard combinations, bringing together maestros and musicians from diverse musical traditions. The artists who perform for Milan are simultaneously ambassadors of ancient musical traditions and inventors of their own styles, making them creators of new identities for their music.

For this presentation of Milan, Santoor maestro Rahul Shivkumar Sharma comes together with the Langa musicians of Rajasthan, bringing Indian Classical Music and the Folk Music of Rajasthan into a vibrant folk-fusion collaboration. The meeting of Rahul Sharma’s santoor with the distinctive voices of the deserts creates an unexpected musical conversation between two deeply rooted traditions.
