Comics and Cartooning Workshop

Learn the art of cartooning with illustrator Abhijeet Kini. Young participants will create their own comic characters and stories in this hands-on workshop.

What makes a character memorable? How can a few drawings turn an idea into a story?

Join illustrator and comics creator Abhijeet Kini for an introduction to the art of cartooning, drawing on his work with Tinkle since 2004 and his illustrations for Penguin’s Butterfingers series. Through practical tips and guided activities, young participants will learn how characters, expressions and everyday observations can become visual stories.

The workshop then puts these ideas into practice as each participant creates a short comic, with Abhijeet offering guidance along the way. A show-and-tell brings the session to a close, giving everyone a chance to share their work. All materials are provided, and each participant gets to take their comic home.
