Book Club Gathering

Join Read A Kitaab for a reader-led discussion of Elif Shafak’s latest novel, exploring the women behind history’s narratives and the questions the book leaves with its readers.

A book can leave every reader with a different question, interpretation or point of view.

Join hosts Ekta and Anurag for a conversation around acclaimed author Elif Shafak’s in In One Brief Moment All Eternity, through the women connected to his life, including a nursemaid, an Egyptian dancer and a lover determined not to be forgotten. Spanning Paris, Istanbul, Cairo, Palestine and Beirut, the novel examines literature, memory and the voices that history often leaves unheard.

Hosted by Read A Kitaab, this open, reader-led gathering invites you to discuss the novel, share your interpretations and hear how others have responded to its themes. Whether you come with questions, reflections or simply a desire to listen, the session offers an opportunity to connect with fellow readers through a shared book.

The gathering is open to NMACC walk-ins and RSVPs. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
