Tottochan

Totto-Chan is an engaging musical performance based on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's memoir. Blending poetry, dance, music, and enacted reading, the play captures the heartwarming journey of Totto-Chan, a young girl expelled from her school for her unconventional behaviour, who finds a new beginning at the experimental Tomoe School. The narrative beautifully unfolds the school's unique teaching practices, emphasizing freedom, creativity, and learning through experience. This one-and-a-half-hour performance inspires children and adults alike to rediscover the magic of books and the power of innovative education.
