Some nights are meant to be heard, not slept through.

Raat Kahani is a late-night storytelling night and community gathering in Mumbai. Strangers become friends, stories turn into conversations, and an ordinary night becomes a memory.

We host it with Veda Kunba as an open-air evening under the trees, away from screens, deadlines and city noise. There`s no stage and no spotlight. It`s just a circle of people, chai, Maggi and the kind of conversations that usually only happen after midnight.

Everyone has a story. Not everyone has found a place to tell it.

THE EXPERIENCE

9:00 PM - The Gathering: Come as a Stranger
Walk into a softly lit space with floor cushions, charpais, lanterns and handwritten story prompts. Everyone gets a cup of chai and one question: "What is a story you have never told anyone?"

10:00 PM - Kahani Ka Daayra: The Story Circle
A host opens with a personal story. Then the circle opens up to everyone: first love, childhood mischief, heartbreak, friendship, family, strange encounters and life-changing coincidences.
The Object Story: pick one object from your bag, tell a story around it and pass it on. The circle builds one story together.

11:00 PM - Chai, Maggi Aur Baatein
The circle breaks into smaller conversations. Maggi is served, chai is refilled, and conversation cards keep the night going.

The Kahani Mic
An open mic with no pressure to perform. Speak your story, read it from your diary or share it anonymously through the host.

Chai & Confessions
One cup of chai, one question. It starts light-hearted and gets surprisingly deep by the last sip.
