Japanese Yobitsugi
Different pieces. One beautiful whole.
Discover the joy of bringing unexpected pieces together at Small World`s Japanese Yobitsugi workshop.
Inspired by the Japanese practice of joining fragments from different ceramics, this hands-on experience invites you to create a bowl with its own character. Explore contrasting colours, patterns and textures, piece them together, and highlight the joins with a gold-toned finish.
Every combination tells a different story. Your pieces do not have to match to belong together.
Enjoy a guided creative session, unwind, and make a unique ceramic bowl to take home.
No prior experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to see new possibilities in different pieces.
