Mrs. Sankalak: Mukkam Post Chittarwadi

Behind the birth of Indian Cinema stood a woman whose extraordinary contributions remained hidden in the shadows of history.

Saraswatibai Phalke, a woman who was much more than the wife of Dadasaheb Phalke. From working behind the camera to managing countless responsibilities, she played an invaluable role in shaping the early days of Indian Cinema.

Yet, while history celebrated the Father of Indian Cinema, her story remained largely untold.

Mrs. Sankalak: Mukkam Post Chittarwadi is a Marathi theatrical production that brings to life the forgotten journey of Saraswatibai Phalke, her sacrifices, struggles, dreams, and remarkable contribution to the world of cinema.

A story of an extraordinary woman who stood behind the camera, but deserves to be remembered in the spotlight.
