The Tumbling Paddies UK Tour 2026

The Tumbling Paddies UK Tour 2026 brings a vibrant slice of Irish Trad/Pop fusion to Southampton as The Tumbling Paddies headline with their energetic six-piece ensemble. Hailing from County Fermanagh, Ireland, this youthful band has earned a reputation for their distinctive blend of traditional Irish folk instrumentation with modern country and pop influences, making their shows a lively celebration of cultural fusion and musical craftsmanship.

The ensemble, featuring Gareth Maguire and Ryan McGovern among others, seamlessly blends the banjo, fiddle, accordion, and whistle with electric guitars, keyboard, and drums. Their music is inspired by a range of artists from Derek Ryan to Mumford & Sons, and they incorporate an intriguing mix of styles including elements of rock and even rap, delivering performances that are both unique and engaging. Singing in both English and Irish, the band often switches between languages mid-song, adding to the dynamic experience.

On this tour, fans can expect to hear selections from their popular repertoire, which includes the cheerfully defiant “The Way I Am,” and the upbeat “Night On The Town,” as well as their poignant rendition of “Spancil Hill.” Their original songs, co-written with renowned Irish country artist Derek Ryan who also produces their music, reflect their personal experiences and deep affection for their Irish roots.

Adding to the excitement of this UK tour is their latest single, “Closing Time,” released in October 2025, which continues to showcase their evolving sound and heartfelt songwriting.
