A Different Thread – Over Again UK Tour 2026

A Different Thread, the transatlantic Americana duo featuring North Carolina native Alicia Best and UK-born Robert Jackson, return to the UK after a year away with their 1Different Thread 1 Over Again UK Tour 20262. Their unique blend of American roots, Appalachian blues, alt-country, and British folk-rock is distinguished by close harmonies and storytelling lyricism that resonate deeply with audiences across both sides of the Atlantic.

With Over Again, their acclaimed third album released in May 2026, Alicia and Robert delve into themes of resilience, grief, change, and new beginnings. The album reflects their journey from distance and uncertainty toward reunion and settlement in North Carolina, marked by intimate narratives and broader social reflections underscored by hope. The title track earned the Folk/Americana category win at the International Acoustic Music Awards—a testament to their songwriting craft and evocative sound.

Known for their minimalistic and DIY approach, A Different Threads performances range from quiet storytelling moments to energized Americana foot-stompers and engaging audience singalongs. Their use of acoustic guitar, fiddle, harmonica, and percussion supports their heartfelt vocals and the blending of British and American musical traditions that give their music its fresh vibrancy. Touring with double bassist Mike Seal enriches their live experience as they journey through the UK in autumn 2026.
