One of the founding fathers of the New Orleans sound, Cyril Neville comes to Minneapolis! With a signature funky-soul, rock-jazz sound that has influenced countless artists and entertained millions of fans over his five-decade career, Mr. Neville is a vocalist, songwriter, percussionist, painter, cultural icon, and activist – richly deserving of his Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He’s recorded with a Who’s Who of the rock world including Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffett, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Branford Marsalis, and Carlos Santana. A prolific writer, Mr. Neville has co-authored songs with Bono, Allen Toussant, Trombone Shorty, Taj Mahal, and many others. A not-to-be-missed night for fans of the Wild Tchoupitoulas, the Meters, Uptown Ruler, Neville Brothers, and lovers of New Orleans music and culture. Seattle-based alt-rock Afro-punk band King Youngblood kick off this high-energy night of music.
