Russian Circles

Russian Circles bring their towering instrumental soundscapes and crushing post-metal intensity to Detroit for a night of immersive, cinematic heaviness. Since forming in Chicago in 2004, the acclaimed trio has become one of the most influential instrumental bands of the modern era, blending post-rock atmosphere, metal power, and intricate musicianship into a sound that is both expansive and emotionally charged. Known for acclaimed albums including Station, Geneva, Memorial, Guidance, Blood Year, and Gnosis, Russian Circles have built a devoted global following through relentless touring and unforgettable live performances. Their music moves seamlessly between delicate, atmospheric passages and thunderous walls of sound, creating an experience that is as hypnotic as it is heavy. With no vocalist required, Russian Circles let their instruments tell the story—crafting dynamic compositions that showcase the band’s technical precision, creativity, and unmatched ability to command a room. Whether you’re a longtime fan of post-metal, instrumental rock, and doom-infused soundscapes, or discovering them for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to witness one of heavy music’s most innovative and captivating live acts. Don’t miss Russian Circles live at El Club in Detroit.
