Insun Park & Generals is a groundbreaking fusion of rock, Korean traditional music, and mask dance rhythms. Leading the quartet is Insun Park, a master of the Gangnyeong Mask Dance, a traditional Korean dance. Her dynamic vocal and dance performances compliment the talents of band members: Donghyuk Heo (composer/guitar), Hyunmo Yang (drums), Johyun Kim (taepyeongso/flute), & Hahyungki Baek (bass). The result is a blend of ancestral art and contemporary sound merging traditional rhythms with modern rock influences. Park has distinguished herself as one of the few female masters of Gangnyeong Mask Dance, historically dominated by men.
