ffîn yn cyflwyno... HMS Morris x Remei de Ca la Fresca HMS Morris are a band who thrive at the crossroads of art-pop, theatricality and fearless exploration return to Leeds this Autumn. Described as "innovative, forward-thinking pop music" (Earthly Pleasures), "strange and beautiful" (Electronic Sound), and "a multi-dimensional sound that traipses across hitherto unexplored regions" (Clash), their music defies easy categorisation - and that's exactly how they like it. From euphoric synths to introspective lyrics and flamboyant stagecraft, HMS Morris craft sonic experiences that are as intellectually curious as they are emotionally powerful. (Cymru / Wales) Born in the depths of Montseny, Catalonia, Remei de Ca la Fresca have quickly emerged as one of the most restless, unclassifiable, and defiant bands. Never hidden, always upfront. With a wild discourse, both sharp and poetic, they defy every stylistic boundary and fire relentlessly. The quartet from Arbúcies made their name by winning the Erra Forta contest, armed with castanets and an ironing board, and later released their self-titled debut album (2021) under the Indian Runners label, which was enthusiastically received and led them to tour extensively throughout the country. Remei de Ca la Fresca make political music in the purest sense of the term. They do not play genres traditionally linked to the class struggle, such as radical rock or rap, but their message perfectly captures the general mood of their generation.
