About the venue: A neighbourhood bistro and brewpub rated 4.4 from around 770 reviews, mid-priced, open until 9pm midweek — an early close, so a 7pm start gives two hours. One thing to check before booking: reviewers describe a regular Wednesday-night karaoke session, which would compete directly with a networking event.

Getting there: This is not a transit-served location — the nearest rail is the Alvarado Transportation Center over 3km away — so plan to drive or take a rideshare. The upside is parking: the venue sits within Rio Grande Plaza and has a lot directly outside, a minute from the door, though reviewers note it fills at busy times. It is a short drive from I-40 and close to Old Town.
