KEG
JOY Presents: KEG Keg have been experimenting with their sound ever since their conception. Over the 6 years as a band they have garnered attention for their frenetic live performances and unwavering commitment to not settling on one sound. Their new album ‘Relaxing Near the Hospital’ only further cements this ideology. At once tender and vitriolic the album is full of contradiction, each song taking a sojourn into their myriad of influences. From hefty chunks of hardcore, to Steely Dan leaning croonerish tracks the album is reminiscent of Ween in its commitment to an noncommittal sound. What feels new is a level of vulnerability which has often been hinted at in previous releases, but here feels fully established. + support 18+
